Disable OneDrive for Business

If there was a problem using OneDrive for Business, I’m sure that I experienced it – from sync errors to the never ending “1 file remaining” and the consumption of memory and bandwidth.

So this from the Microsoft Office 365 Community:

  • If the OneDrive for Business client is installed with the Office suite, it’s not feasible to uninstall that separately. In this case, we can choose to stop syncing the libraries, exit the program and unpin the shortcut from startup.

Then, you can delete the local documents and remove the shortcuts from Favorites.

NOTE: The steps provided above apply to Windows 7 systems. If you are using other systems, there might be some differences.
